✨ Spanish 2 Poncho Project ✨ In Spanish 2, students first learned about the history and cultural importance of the poncho in different Latin American countries. We explored its origins, who traditionally wears it, and what it represents in different regions. After learning the history, students designed their own ponchos. Each student had to: β€’ Create a unique design β€’ Choose colors and symbols with intention β€’ Write the meaning behind their design in Spanish β€’ Present their poncho to the class To conclude the project, we had a fashion show in class! πŸŽ‰ Students modeled their ponchos and explained the symbolism and inspiration behind their designs in Spanish. Some of the students even made their ponchos with the help of their moms or grandmothers, which made the project even more special. It became a beautiful family connection and a shared cultural experience. 🀍 At the end, the class voted for their favorite poncho in each period. πŸ† Congratulations to our winners: β€’ Dylan Stead – 2nd Period β€’ Liam Mouse – 6th Period I am so proud of all my students. This project allowed them to connect language, culture, creativity, family, and confidence. Watching them present with pride was truly the best part. ❀️ #Spanish2 #PonchoProject #CulturalLearning #ProudTeacher #BlanquitasSpanishExperiences
