Taylor County Schools Hosts WVDE Regional Math Training
Today, Taylor County Schools proudly hosted the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Regional Math Training. We welcomed K–5 teachers from across our county and neighboring counties for a day focused on building math instruction excellence.
Participants explored valuable math resources and strategies designed to strengthen student understanding and application of key math concepts.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the educators who joined us for this collaborative learning experience and to the WVDE for partnering with us to support high-quality math education across the region!

This week, Communities In Schools hosted a food drive at each school. Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we were able to provide much-needed food to local food pantries. Your kindness and support make a real difference in our community—thank you for helping us give back!

PTO is kicking off our holiday Sarris Candy fundraiser. 25% of all orders goes to WTES PTO to support our school and students throughout the school year!
Orders can be placed with a student and submitted to the school via the order form by November 21st and available for pick-up at the school around December 12.
Order can also be placed online at SarrisCandiesFundraising.com with the Group ID# 10-3911. Online ordering is available through Sunday, December 14th and orders will ship directly to your home.

Reminder that we are having a Food Drive November 3-7. Non-perishable food items can be brought in by students or dropped off in the main office during school hours. All donations will go to local food pantries. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

Second grade students completed a book character pumpkin project. They had to pick a book character, create the book character with a pumpkin, and give a report on their book character. They did a fantastic job!
Congratulations to our October students of the month!
Fire safety week falls in October every year and earlier this month, the Boothsville Fire Department and Grafton City Fire Department came in to talk to our students about fire safety. Students go to see their fire trucks, learn about their jobs, and learn fire safety tips. Thank you to both departments for coming in and talking to our students. They really enjoyed it!
