As a part of American Education Week, Thomas Kootz, meteorologist for WBOY, came to talk to the students about his job. He also brought along Snowbird to recognize the top readers from our Summer Reading Challenge. Congratulations to our top readers!

Today, Taylor County Schools proudly hosted the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Regional Math Training. We welcomed K–5 teachers from across our county and neighboring counties for a day focused on building math instruction excellence.
Participants explored valuable math resources and strategies designed to strengthen student understanding and application of key math concepts.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the educators who joined us for this collaborative learning experience and to the WVDE for partnering with us to support high-quality math education across the region!

This week, Communities In Schools hosted a food drive at each school. Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we were able to provide much-needed food to local food pantries. Your kindness and support make a real difference in our community—thank you for helping us give back!

PTO is kicking off our holiday Sarris Candy fundraiser. 25% of all orders goes to WTES PTO to support our school and students throughout the school year!
Orders can be placed with a student and submitted to the school via the order form by November 21st and available for pick-up at the school around December 12.
Order can also be placed online at SarrisCandiesFundraising.com with the Group ID# 10-3911. Online ordering is available through Sunday, December 14th and orders will ship directly to your home.
