Attention Parents/Guardians:
WVEIS Parent Portal registration information will be sent home soon. Schools are currently updating the information from the 2025–26 Emergency Procedure Cards into our WVEIS database, a step required before registration details can be shared. We appreciate your patience as we complete this process. Academic progress information is available through your child’s teacher until the Parent Portal access is ready.

📢 Attention Parents & Guardians
As we begin the new school year, please remember to complete and return your child’s Emergency Procedure Card as soon as possible. It is very important that guardian phone numbers and email addresses are accurate and up to date.
This year, the new WVEIS Parent Portal will be launched to replace LiveGrades, which was discontinued this summer by the WV Dept. of Education. Accurate guardian email information will ensure you receive parent/guardian access to your child’s academic progress/ information.
Emergency Procedure Cards will be sent home with students on the first day of school.
✅ Please return cards promptly so we can keep you connected and your child safe!

During the August 19th Board of Education meeting, members of the American Legion Post 12 of Grafton presented the Board of Education with framed copies of "In God We Trust" photographs, the result of a collaborative project involving Legion members and Ms. Nicki Skinner, to be displayed in each of the school system's facilities. Of special note regarding this gift is that the photograph of the American flag used to create the signs was taken of the flag that once flew above the Grafton National Cemetery. Special thanks to our local American Legion Post 12 members!

Teachers and staff spent the day making final preparations for the return of our students. We are excited to start the 2025-2026 school year on Monday!

Due to confidentiality, class lists will not be posted on the windows of the school this year. You can find out your child’s teacher by looking at Rooms on the TCS App. For Pre-K and Kindergarten students, your teacher has reached out (or will reach out) to you via phone.

Here is the updated Year at a Glance for West Taylor Elementary. Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers will be in touch with families about your child's first day of school.
